Project Overview:
At the Court house Project, the client approached Stoneworld Oxfordshire with a well-defined vision for their sophisticated garden and pool area. Our expertise was sought to help select the ideal stones that would not only match their aesthetic preferences but also provide the necessary durability for a pool environment.
A highlight of this project is the use of La Roche Luna acid-etched and tumbled pitchers, meticulously laid in a herringbone pattern. This choice underscores the versatility of pitchers in landscape design, offering an alternative to traditional large format paving slabs. The pitchers bring a unique texture and dynamic visual appeal, creating movement and interest within the garden. The blend of inky blue-grey tones with lighter grey hues, accented by occasional warm earthy highlights, adds depth and character to the space, making it both visually engaging and inviting.
Framing the pool area, the Shadow Basalt flamed overlip copings serve a dual purpose of functionality and enhanced visual appeal. These copings, with a substantial 50mm bullnose, offer a robust yet elegant finish. The bullnose edge is not only aesthetically pleasing but also practical, providing a comfortable grip for those in the pool. This design is particularly suitable for fiberglass pools or areas where level adjustments are necessary, as the copings are rebated to 27mm behind the bullnose, ensuring a smooth and seamless transition to the surrounding surfaces.
Black Slate Cladding
To complement the overall design of the garden and pool area, black slate cladding was selected for the walls. The deep, rich tones of the slate add a contemporary and bold element to the space. This dramatic backdrop contrasts beautifully with the lighter La Roche Luna pitchers and Shadow Basalt copings, creating a balanced and harmonious environment.
