Mixed Soft Sand

At Stoneworld we strongly advise you to lay our natural stone paving products on a full bed of wet mortar, made using a cement and sand mix using our mixed soft sand. It creates the ideal medium for you to work with when laying and levelling the stone slabs into place.

Cement

Cement can be used to set, harden and bind materials together. We highly recommend that you lay our natural stone paving on a full bed of wet mortar. This can be made using Stoneworld’s cement and combining it with our mixed soft sand.

Scalpings/Type 1

Order Type 1 Sub base Scalpings to create a strong, free-draining hard base on which to lay our natural stone. The bigger pieces aid with drainage, whilst the smaller particles bind the mass together when compressed with a wacker plate. Our scalpings are also available in larger quantities. Please contact us for details.
